Tyson Moore currently serves as the assistant minister to Bro. Curl, sharing in the ministerial duties of the congregation. Tyson was born in Inglewood, CA and was raised in Oakland CA. He graduated from Berkeley High School in 1992, and enrolled at Laney College in Oakland before moving back to Los Angeles. Tyson has been worshipping with the Crenshaw congregation since 1993. He is formally of the South Berkeley Church of Christ in the Bay Area. He was first challenged with the responsibility of ministry in 1995, heading up serving the congregations youth. He first began preaching in June of 1994, and has been a force for the gospel of Christ ever since. He went from Los Angeles Bible College under the direction of Dr. Calvin Bowers, and quickly moved on to and graduated from Pepperdine University-Seaver College with a bachelor’s degree in Religion in 2002 and with a Master of Science in Ministry in 2006 and a Master of Divinity degree in 2010.

On February 21, 1998 he married the former Geneva L. Phillips and they have three children. Isaiah Marshall born in November 2002, one daughter Micaiah LaChelle born April 2006, and their youngest son Nehemiah Earlie was born March 2009.

He serves as the assistant minister, and is currently involved with a plethora of other ministries in the city. He serves as one of the Directors for the California State Youth Conference. He and his wife Genny have served in marriage ministry and seminars throughout the country.

His ministry is defined by his vision to encourage. He encourages, all ages through countless sermons, challenging classes and spirit-led counseling.
